The Entrepreneurship Center participated in the first edition of “Oman Innovation Festival”
The Entrepreneurship Center participated in the first edition of the “Oman Innovation Festival” from February 5 to 10. This prestigious event was organized by the Omani Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation at the “Muscat Innovation Complex” to create knowledge exchange in the fields of research and innovation. The ceremony was sponsored by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs, and in the presence of a number of Their Highnesses, Excellencies, and distinguished members of the State Council. Throughout its duration, the event witnessed a large attendance of participants; 1,000 participants benefited from the workshops held alone.
Dr. Samir Hamami (Head of the Management Information Systems Department and member of the Entrepreneurship Incubators Team) provided in the festival five consultations for five innovative projects and delivered a training workshop on “Technological Project Management,” which was applauded by the attendees. Dr. Samir Hamami also attended a two-day symposium accompanying the festival on intellectual property rights.
At the conclusion of the event, the services that various universities provided to innovators and entrepreneurs were highlighted.
