Dhofar University Showcases Its Role in the National Innovation Competition for School Students

In line with Dhofar University’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, the University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship actively participated in the National Innovation Competition for School Students, held on the 5th and 6th of November 2023, under the auspices of the Directorate General of Education and Learning in Dhofar.

In this pioneering event, a specialized team of Dhofar University faculty members evaluated scientific innovations presented by school students, reflecting the university’s belief in the pivotal role of youth in achieving scientific and technological advancement. the university team, consisting of Dr. Samir Hamami, Dr. Omar Durrah, Dr. Issa Musbah, and Mr. Naser Tabouk, worked collaboratively to inspire the students towards creativity and developing innovative solutions.

The competition, which saw broad participation from school students across the governorate, provided an opportunity for the university to demonstrate its ongoing support for education and innovation in the local community. The events were held under the patronage of Ms. Maryam Bauwain, Head of the Innovation and Scientific Olympiad Department, who expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made by the university and the center to make this competition a success.
