Dhofar University’s College of Commerce and Business Administration(CCBA) is aspiring to get the international accreditation for itself and its academic programs. Therefore, CCBA has applied to one of the premier and the best global accreditation agency, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB www.aacsb.edu ).

CCBA goals remains to impart quality and meaningful management education and build future leaders. The College of Commerce Business Administration has successfully managed to get the membership of this association which is the first step towards getting accreditation for itself and its academic programs.

As an educational member of AACSB, CCBA is recognized as a part of the world’s largest network of business schools, all of which are focused on advancing business education. CCBA will immensely benefit from this membership leading to building collaborative relationships and to pursue the international accreditation. In addition to be directly connected with top business educators from over 90 countries, CCBA will have access to a wealth of educational and benchmarking resources specifically designed for business programs and faculty. Through content-driven events, valuable publications, comprehensive data tools, and industry research, AACSB membership connects CCBA with the information, people, and trends that are shaping the future of management education.

The Progress

The college has completed the following milestones namely

  1. Membership of AACSB (December 2016)
  2. Eligibility for accreditation of AACSB (February, 2018).
  3. Final iSER submission (end of 2019)
  4. AACSB expected visit on 8 December 2024

CCBA has started to work on the submission of the final portfolio for AACSB and expected to complete the process soon.

College of commerce and Business Administration(CCBA), also has representation on the AACSB’s Dean MENA council an advisory body for the middle east and north Africa.
