In line with the mission of the College of Commerce and Business Administration (CCBA), the Bachelor of Science in Taxation program is offered by the Department of Accounting in the College of Commerce and Business Administration (CCBA) at Dhofar University. The program reflects CCBA’s commitment to providing innovative, relevant academic pathways that prepare graduates for emerging opportunities in the accounting and taxation sector. The program will be a full-time program for those who desire a career in in Taxation. The program’s prime objective is to acquire specialized knowledge in the field of Taxation & Accounting and to enable the learner to apply advanced techniques in accounting and taxation and to develop the learner’s ability to manage taxes independently.

The Bachelor of Science in Taxation program is an emerging field as many universities are making a significant commitment to it, either at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. Several universities have introduced business degree programs with a major in taxation.

The major is highly rated in various countries such as the USA and to some extent in the UK and Southeast countries such as Malaysia. Benchmarking has been done with QS ranking universities as well as some universities that are accredited universities by AACSB.

The choice of universities was made according to the level of Dhofar University. The benchmarking included a wide range of universities to give a clear picture of the Taxation major at different academic levels. Most universities have adopted almost similar course structures and course offerings.

The medium of instruction of the program is in the ENGLISH language.

The total credit for the program is 120 credits hours.
