
Rabia is actively involved in undergraduate education in department of Management at Dhofar University through her teaching and curriculum development activities. Her major area of expertise is management with a focus on organizational behavior and HRM. She has taught a number of undergraduate courses including Human Resource Management, Leadership for Results, Principles of Management, Business Ethics, and Research Methodology. At master level she has taught strategic Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurship courses.
Rabia’s teaching style focuses on student engagement. She tries to make things simplified for the students and emphasizes a lot on contextualizing the content. Her effectiveness of her teaching pedagogy is reflected in the encouraging reviews from students despite the language barrier.
She has supervised 20 MS/ Mphil researches, approximately 90 master and 50 undergraduate researches.

Rabia’s research interests are in the areas of Leadership; HR practices especially High Performance Work Systems, Organizational and individual characteristics, and Innovation. Since her PhD in 2010, she has pursued a set of integrated activities for research, teaching, and service in the area of Human resource management. She is particularly interested in the way individual and organizational characteristics play their role in higher performance of the organization. Dr. Imran has 31 refereed and indexed journal publications, 17, conference publications, 1 book and 1 book chapter.
