Mohammad Alam is Assistant Professor of Accounting at College of Commerce and Business Administration, Dhofar University, Oman. His research interests encompass the Foreign investments contribution on economic development as well as currency fluctuations and stock market development, working capital and financial performance of the companies
Prior to joining Dhofar University, Alam held a position as Assistant Professor at Jeddah Community College, King Abdul Aziz University, and prior to that worked for Karwan University, Bakhtar University, Kabul and Jayoti vidyapeeth Women’s University, Jaipur, India as a capacity of Assistant Professor of Accouting. He received his PhD in Commerce from the Aligarh muslim University, Aligarh, India.
During his time at Dhofar University, he has taught accounting courses.
Areas of expertise:
- Alam’s research is broadly focused on FIIs investment in capital markets. His research generally examines the contribution of foreign investment on the development of stock market and also examines the volatility of stock market and currency fluctuations. He is particularly interested in firms’ financial performances with working capital and capital structure theories. Further research interests include overall impact of macro variable on the economic development and advanced issue in accounting, green accounting
