ACCA Qualification

If you have a Diploma or Bachelor Degree, you can study ACCA Qualification. To achieve the ACCA Qualification you will need to complete exams, an ethics module and meet the practical experience requirement.

There are two levels of exams – Fundamentals and Professional.

This level has nine areas of study, divided into two modules.

The Knowledge module gives you a broad introduction to financial and management accounting.

The Skills module covers the main technical subjects you need to know.

  • F1: Accountant in Business
  • F2: Management Accounting
  • F3: Financial Accounting

  • F4: Corporate and Business Law
  • F5: Performance Management
  • F6: Taxation
  • F7: Financial reporting
  • F8: Audit and Assurance
  • F9: Financial Management

This level builds on your knowledge even further – giving you the advanced skills, techniques and ethical approaches you need to succeed as a senior finance professional.

There are two modules:

  • Essentials – you need to pass all three papers
  • Options – you need to choose and pass a minimum of two of these

  • P1: Governance, Risk and Ethics
  • P2: Corporate Reporting
  • P3: Business Analysis

Options – choose two

  • P4: Advanced Financial Management
  • P5: Advanced Performance Management
  • P6: Advanced Taxation
  • P7: Advanced Audit and Assurance

ACCA awards exemptions from some subjects depending on your previous studies. For most of the universities, ACCA gives exemptions from first 3 or 4 subjects depending on the major.

If you can send your details, we can provide you with the information about your exemptions.

For ACCA Qualification;

This completely depends on what qualifications you have before you register. The quickest way to become a member is to work and study at the same time. If you do, you could qualify in as little as three or four years.

Is there a time limit?

There’s no limit on how long you can spend on the Fundamentals level. Once you pass your first Professional level exam, you have seven years to pass the rest of the papers.

For Foundations in Accountancy;

From taking your first exam within the introductory certificate up to the higher level papers could take less than one year. However, it’s up to you how quickly you want to progress as there is no time limit.

After you complete the Diploma in Accounting and Business, you can transfer onto the ACCA Qualification. You can claim exemption from the first three exams (F1, F2 and F3), because you will have already passed them at the diploma level. You can then continue your journey with us on the ACCA Qualification.

Exams are important. But part of what makes the ACCA Qualification so valuable is that it gives you real-world experience. As well as completing exams, you need three years’ practical experience in a relevant role to qualify.

Having the highest standards in ethical accounting and reporting is absolutely fundamental if societies and organisations are to flourish. This is why professional ethics are at the heart of the ACCA Qualification. Ethics underpin your studies and inform your practical experience. They are covered in most of our training – and we also have a specific Professional Ethics module which you complete in your own time.

Along the way to membership, you can gain these milestone qualifications:
